We have a total of 22 chalets; all with en-suite bathrooms, with a flush toilet and shower. Arranged as follows: 3 chalets with 1 queen sized bed, 15 chalets with 2 ¾ sized beds each, 1 chalet with 1 queen sized bed and 2 ¾ sized beds and 3 chalet with 1 queen sized bed and 3 ¾ sized beds. The beds are all of very good quality, ensuring a good night’s rest. All beds are fitted with 80-100% percale cotton sheets.

Chalets Accommodation | Orange River

Need accommodation to explore the Orange River? The Bundi Base Camp is situated on the banks of the mighty Orange River. The Camp is located in the old River Rafters base camp which was used in the pioneering days to explore the Orange River Rafting and canoeing route that is now used through the Richtersveld.

Bundi Adventurers is not only about canoeing and river rafting but about camping too. The Orange River and its scenery can be experienced from staying at Bundi Camp. Bundi Camp is not only an overnight stop but is also an exciting destination. Visitors often book for one night but end up staying longer.

We have big lawns where the kids can play. You can use the river to cool down on the hot summer days. Open-air safe parking is available for guests. This is a peaceful tranquil haven to escape the normal daily grind of city life. The perfect getaway for you to unwind and re-energise.

Children and extra beds

All accommodation is booked per chalet and not per the amount of people per booking. There are no special separate costs for children.

Should you book a chalet and require additional bedding for a minor, e.g. you booked a double chalet and you are a couple with a child, then we can accommodate you with a camping mattress at an additional cost per night. Please enquire for more information.

UPGRADE (FOR RIVER RAFTING CLIENTS)

Some clients prefer to upgrade their first & last night stay with us when they do the river rafting. An upgrade can be requested from campsites to chalets at an additional fee. Please note that Chalets are subject to availability. Open-air safe parking is available for guests. Email us directly for an upgrade.

CAMPSITES

All sites are on grass underneath the trees. We limit our camp to 5 camp areas; all with various amounts of people that can camp per area. Please confirm the number of people you would like to book on making your reservation. We provide communal bathrooms with shower and flush toilets. Some sites have their own power points, but please ensure that you request this on making your reservation. Power points are located as follow: 5 at campsite at river chalets and 1 at the top chalet campsite area. Remember to bring your tent and camping equipment as we do not provide this.
