Orange River Rafting: special and remarkable. Our clients return to this rafting adventure every year with family and friends. Orange River Rafting is special because you can float, sunbathe and relax while nature entertains you.
Taking part requires no experience since we have had as young as 5 years old and there is no age limit on the river. So much so that the oldest person at a 70’s party we had was 84 years old. There are plenty of time for swimming, fishing and just relaxing while you float downriver.
With this Orange River Rafting adventure, you will spend 4 glorious days on the River, with 2 additional days travelling to and from our camp, totaling 6 days away from home.
Enjoy our 4 days 5 Nights Orange River Rafting excursion on the majestic and best section of the river as it runs through the scenic Richtersveld in Southern Namibia. Here you will enjoy the river in all its different moods. Fast-flowing channels, dark gentle pools and powerfully surging streams. This trip is ideal for groups of family, students and friends. With this is mind, we offer a choice for either rustic camping in our base camp, or upgrade the first and last night to our en-suite rooms.
Our canoe adventures are available all year round. Your trip will include beautiful scenery, friendly guides, exciting rapids and full catering from the arrival evening until the departure morning.
During your river rafting adventure, our guides will ensure your safety, provide scrumptious meals, and ensure that Africa’s magic touches your soul. Camping Gear
There is no permanent accommodation set up on the riverbanks, you will need to bring your camping gear for the nights on the river.

Transport Option
There is an Intercape Bus that goes to the Namibian Border. Visit www.intercape.co.za to view their schedule. Please contact us should you wish for us to make your bus reservations.

BOOKING
Option 1 – You can join a Pre-Scheduled trip.

Option 2 – Select Your Own Dates
You choose the dates that will work best for you for your 4 day trip. Pending the availability for the dates you request we will be able to book you in. For this option we require a minimum of 4 people. We also require a minimum lead time of 2 months for these trips to be booked and confirmed. If you want your group to be exclusive, you will require a minimum of 8 people out of season and 20 people in season.
We advise that you take out travel insurance and contact your medical aid to activate the 90 days out of the country setting before departing on your trip.
The balance of the tour fare must be paid no later than three (3) weeks prior to the arrival date; otherwise, the Company may treat the booking as cancelled by the Client. Please mail proof of payment to info@bundi.co.za

The discount gets divided between the entire group once the final amount of the group is confirmed. Once discount is allocated late joiners will not be eligible for the discount.
Group discount does not apply to Family Special & Student Special Trips.
4 DAYS / 5 NIGHT RAFTING
Our itinerary for this rafting tour is as follow:
Arrival the afternoon of the 1st day // spend day 2 – day 5 on the river, afternoon of the 5th day you return to base camp // you then leave on the 6th day after breakfast.
For accommodation we have the following options available:
Option 1 – CAMP:
You camp with your own gear for all evenings of the trip. Cost for camping is already included in costs for the trip.
Option 2 – CHALET UPGRADE:
You camp with your own gear for the nights on the river, but should you wish to not pitch your tent on our green lawns for your first and last evening with us at our camp, we have lovely chalets available to which you can upgrade. Availability is dependent on the dates you choose.
Please complete the rafting booking form and indicate on the booking form if you would like to upgrade to Chalet accommodation for the first and last night at the camp.
Option 3 – CAMP & CHALET PACKAGE:
This package is available to the ones in your group who does not want to bring their own camping gear for the evenings on the river and who also prefers to stay in a chalet for the first and last evening at our camp. Availability is dependent on the dates you choose.

The camping gear that forms part of this packet per person is as follow:
All gear will be provided to you on the arrival day and will be available until your return to the base camp. All camping gear will be transported upon your own rafts -guides will not transfer any gear. Pitching of tents and camping gear will be your own responsibility. This is the basic camping gear requirements for on the river. If you require any additional gear, you will have to bring it along.

OUR BASE CAMP
Our base camp is located on the river banks of the Orange River in Richtersveld, about 8 km from Noordoewer. Our base camp is 680km’s due north from Cape Town and 1300km’s from Johannesburg. Click here to find out more about the driving directions to get to our base camp.
