The Orange River is a favourite destination among anglers, offering exceptional fly fishing in a truly scenic setting. Here you can target smallmouth yellowfish and large catfish, along with other species such as largemouth yellowfish, tilapia, mudfish (bottom feeders), and carp.
Bundi in partnership with H-Way Fishing offers expertly guided fishing tours, with both 4- and 5-day fishing packages available.
Trips are designed for small groups, with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 per trip, ensuring a comfortable and personalised experience. We run pre-scheduled trips with set dates each year. Custom dates can only be arranged subject to date and space availability.
Your adventure begins at our base camp on the Namibian side of the border – passports will thus be required.
Meet Henning Venter from H-WAY Fishing, our Fishing guru. Henning was only a youngster of 14 years when he was selected to fish the junior internationals in Namibia during 1989. He fished every year nationals for representing the GRIQUAS as a junior and even fished the Senior nationals for GRIQUAS in 1993 and 1994.
He then moved to Cape Town and joined a club and soon made his presence noticed and got selected within one year for the Western Province B side. Not long after that he was selected for the A side and kept his A-side colours until 2007 when he joined the Boland league and was selected for the A-side within 1 year and represent Boland Aside for 5 years. He also managed the A-side. He was selected twice in the South African Presidents A-team competing against Namibia and he just loves the sport. He fished competitively for more than 30 years and has a vast knowledge to pass on.
