Person Specifications:

(Essential - Either):

  • Namibian Citizen (non-negotiable, either of the couple at least)
  • Experience working in direct customer relationship contact.
  • Ability to work independently and to use own initiative, forming a team of skills.
  • Good communications skills both oral and written in English & Afrikaans
  • Must be physically fit and like outdoor work; knowing our temperatures exceeds 50 degrees in summer
  • Must have a strong awareness towards the total customer experience

(Desirable in MAN):

  • Experience maintaining equipment and staff control
  • Physically fit and able to think and execute on his feet

(Desirable in FEMALE):

  • Experience as operational- & booking consultant will be advantageous
  • Knowledge and love of adventure tourism and the value of adventure tourism
  • Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Outlook Mail & Excel
Main Duties:
  • Operational running of the adventure tourism business
  • Manage the tourism season cycle & bookings to ensure maximum efficiency of the team.
  • Manage the day to day running of the rafting operation, camp areas & rooms.
  • Ensure that the lodge and wider site is kept a clean, safe, tidy workspace and that all equipment used is cleaned maintained and safely stored.
Job Purpose
  • To oversee the rest camp to ensure an all well maintained, consistent high quality & efficient service towards the customer experience, as profitable as possible.
  • To manage the relationships with suppliers to ensure sufficient supply of equipment and provisions to keep the site operational.
  • To effectively manage the relationships with retailers and customers.
