Position Overview:
The Guest Experience Host is the central figure responsible for delivering an exceptional and personalized experience to every guest at the Orange River Rafting Camp. This multifaceted role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and professional individual to manage all aspects of guest interactions, accommodation preparation, reception operations, inventory control, and overall camp experience.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception and Registration - Welcome all incoming clients and oversee their registration, ensuring procedures are followed meticulously.
- Accommodation and Facilities Preparation - Ensure timely preparation of all rooms prior to guest arrival. Oversee stock and food orders to ensure adequate supplies for guests. Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and readiness of shared camp facilities.
- Inventory and Maintenance - Manage inventory for linen, shop items, storerooms, and the bar, ensuring stock levels are maintained and accounted for.
- Driving Guests and Guides - Transport clients or guides when required.
Requirements:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to handle diverse client needs.
- Strong organizational abilities for inventory management and guest coordination.
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and ensuring room readiness.
- 1-3 years of experience in hospitality
- Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Proficiency in Afrikaans and English.
- Ability to work flexibly and proactively in a dynamic camp environment.
- Valid driving license with a PDP endorsement (preferred).
- Namibian Citizen (required)
- Minimum one year experience with Microsoft 365.
- High School Diploma (NSC Matric)
- Physically fit
